This study captures shifting political winds in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Welfare politics remains strong, but identity-driven appeals are being reshaped by youth aspirations and urban demands. Our surveys reveal that nearly 68% of young urban voters rank employment above all else, while rural communities continue to lean on welfare guarantees. This divergence highlights why one-size-fits-all campaigns no longer work in the South.
